Batesville Duo Qualify for IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals

(Franklin, Ind.) - Six regional tournaments were held on Saturday to determine the field for the IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals.

Golfers from Batesville, Madison, Franklin County, Switzerland County and Greensburg competed at Regional 6 at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin.

Batesville finished fourth out of 15 teams, falling just short of qualifying for the State Finals as a team. However, Alexis Gallagher and Stella Maple both advance to the IHSAA State Finals as individuals.

Gallagher finished second overall with a 74. Maple carded an 82 and advanced to State via playoff.

Center Grove (315), Floyd Central (337) and Franklin (339) were the top three placing teams, each advancing to State.

The IHSAA State Finals will be held at Battle Ground Golf Club in Lafayette, IN on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3.
