(Cleves, Oh.) - A 48-hour water boil is in effect in Cleves.

The Boil Water Advisory was announced at 12:10 p.m. Monday due to a hydrant removal for the Cleves Library Branch Project.

The advisory is for Main Street to Mt. Nebo Road on S. Miami Avenue. Creemer Street and Mulbury are also included.

To ensure safety, bring all tap water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. Let it cool completely before consumption.

While the advisory is in effect, follow these guidelines very carefully:

  • Cooking: Wash all fruits and vegetables with boiled or bottled water.
  • Hygiene: You may shower or bathe with tap water, but make sure not to swallow any.

Cleves Water Works will issue an update as soon as coliform testing comes back from the lab.
