Traffic impacts are due to the I-71 resurfacing project in Boone County.

(Boone County, Ind.) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of upcoming traffic impacts on Interstate 71 in Boone County beginning Friday, September 5. These traffic impacts are associated with the ongoing I-71 resurfacing project in Boone County.
Crews will be paving in the project area. Work is scheduled to take place from 7 p.m. Friday, September 5, through 7 a.m. Monday, September 8. The following traffic impacts will take place during this period:
- Single left lane closure on I-71 northbound and southbound from the I-71 and I-75 split to the Boone/Gallatin County line (69.8 mile point to 77.4 mile point).
- I-75 northbound ramp to I-71 southbound ramp will be blocked. Motorists can detour using I-75 northbound to the Richwood exit (Exit 175), to I-75 southbound to I-71 southbound.
Message boards and signage will be in place to warn motorists of the upcoming lane/ramp closures. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes to avoid delays.
