(Batesville, Ind.) – Police in Batesville continue to battle a heroin epidemic with more arrests.
Officer’s from the Batesville Police Department, Indiana State Police and the U.S. Marshals Task Force spent the day Wednesday rounding up the suspects. Arrested were Batesville residents Ashley Gorsuch, 24; Jeremy Fishback 19; and Kirk Gibbons, 27.
Ripley county prosecutor Ric Hertel charged Gorsuch with two counts of Dealing in Heroin, (Class A felonies). Fishback was charged with two counts of Dealing in Heroin (Class B felonies), and Gibbons was charged with one count of Dealing in Marijuana (Class A misdemeanor).
“Law enforcement will continue to aggressively pursue the drug dealers in our community. These drug investigations are ongoing, and more arrest will be made,” said Batesville Chief of Police Stan Holt.
Gorsuch and Gibbons were both apprehended in Batesville and Fishback was located in Muncie, Indiana. Authorities at Ball State University assisted in taking Fishback into custody.
All three are being held in the Ripley County Jail in Versailles.
This latest round of arrests follows others made by Batesville Police on August 23.
