(Hidden Valley, Ind.) - Firefighters in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky all had house fires to extinguish over the weekend.
The first blaze occurred about 2:00 a.m. Saturday when a home on Fieldcrest Drive in Hidden Valley caught fire.
A family was asleep inside. They made it out safely after being alerted to the fire by a passerby.
Bright Fire Department was assisted at the scene by departments from Greendale and Lawrenceburg, said Greendale Fire Chief Shannon Craig.
A cause of the fire has not been determined. Bright Fire Department investigators were to return to the scene Monday.
In Hamilton County’s Miami Township, a family lost everything when their mobile home on Vollmer Avenue was destroyed by a blaze at about 3:30 p.m. Easter Sunday.
The family of four who lived there is being helped by the Red Cross.
In Burlington, nine people were forced from their home after a house on Apollo Court in Burlington went up in flames. The fire was reported at around 4:00 Sunday afternoon.
That house is a total loss as well. The Red Cross is assisting the three adults and six children who lived in the home.
Causes of the Miami Township and Burlington house fires remains under investigation.
