T-Shirt Printing Company Bringing New Jobs To Hebron

By Mike Perleberg (Hebron, Ky.) - Nearly 300 new jobs at a t-shirt manufacturer ought to be a nice fit in Boone County. San Francisco-based Teespring, Inc. announced Wednesday that it will open a new, 105,000 square foot facility on Aviation Boulevard in Hebron. The company founded in 2011 is investing close to $22 million into the project. “Teespring is very excited to launch our first production and fulfillment facility in northern Kentucky,” said Walker Williams, CEO of Teespring. “We believe the talent in this area in the fields of technology, maintenance, production and fulfillment, combined with the cultural alignment of Teespring and the community, lends itself to the perfect opportunity of creating a world-class facility.” The custom shirt manufacturer says it will create up to 299 new jobs in Hebron. Up to 60 presses and other equipment will be purchased. Teespring expects its new operation to be up and running early next year. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear’s office said northern Kentucky beat out Texas for the company’s new location. “The Commonwealth is excited to welcome Teespring and its plans for nearly 300 new jobs with the location of its production facility in northern Kentucky,” Beshear said in a statement. “Kentucky continues to prove it is an ideal location for national companies, and this project is yet another great illustration of our success.” The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has preliminarily approved Teespring, Inc. for tax incentives up to $2.5 million through the Kentucky Business Investment Program, if the company meets job and investment targets.
