SWAT Standoff In Gallatin Co.

(Glencoe, Ky.) - A SWAT standoff in Gallatin County ended with nobody being hurt Monday afternoon.

 

Police say Derrick Allen, 22, was using a rifle to hold his girlfriend and two-year-old daughter hostage at a mobile home on Glencoe-Sparta Road near Glencoe.

 

The hostage situation lasted about two hours until Allen let the two go at 1:30 p.m. He was taken into custody by SWAT officers about two hours later.

 

Allen has been charged with two counts of unlawful imprisonment, two counts of wanton endangerment, and one count of terroristic threatening.
