SWAT Called to Incident at Burlington Home

(Burlington, Ky.) - Boone County's SWAT Team responded to an incident on Saturday evening. 

A large deputy presence initially responded to a home on Inez Court in Burlington due to a suicidal male who was armed and barricaded alone inside the residence. 

SWAT members, along with trained trained negotiators, were activated on scene and the subject safely surrendered and was taken into custody. 

Residents in the area were advised remain outside of the established perimeter while the situation was being resolved. 

No injuries were reported.
