(Aurora, Ind.) - On August 22, 2019 the Sinclair Gas Station in Aurora was robbed. Aurora Police Officers responded to 110 Third Street and learned that an unidentified male entered the business. The male was making a slushie drink and asked for a bag to clean out his car. The clerk told police he thought this was odd as there was no vehicle parked in the lot of the business. The clerk proceeded behind the sales counter as did the male where he showed a silver in color handgun and demanded all the money in the cash register. The suspect left the business on foot traveling towards the Ohio River.

On August 23rd, 2019, Aurora Police learned that there was an armed robbery that occurred at Cowboy’s Gas Station in Ghent, Kentucky. Carroll County Sheriff, Ryan Gosser reviewed security footage and saw a white, male drive enter the business in a 2006 Dodge Durango. The male parked in front of a security camera. At this time, Sheriff Gosser was able to run the Indiana license plate on the Durango and learned that it returned to a female by the name of Sasha Franze.

Detectives reached out to Indiana Gaming Officers and informed them of the two-armed robberies that had occurred along with a description of the suspect and vehicle. A Gaming Officer from Belterra Casino reached out to law enforcement and stated that the vehicle’s registered owner, Sasha Franze returned back to her vehicle and had been detained. Ms. Franze stated that she and a male by the name of Everett Henry were staying at a hotel in Switzerland County. When law enforcement responded to the hotel, Henry was gone. Ms. Franze was taken into custody for a Probation Violation. Henry’s parole officer reviewed the still photos from the gas stations and identified the person in each photo as Everett Henry.

Everett Henry was at large; however, he was apprehended by Switzerland County Sheriff’s Department. Everett Henry, age 40 of Florence, Indiana was charged with Robbery, a Level 3 Felony. His is set to appear before the Honorable Sally A. McLaughlin on August 30th for his Initial Hearing.

It is important to remember that criminal charges are merely allegations and individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
