(Sunman, Ind.) - Second graders at Sunman Elementary School are doing their part to help tornado victims.
The students in teacher Sandy Greenwood’s class have organized a fundraiser called “Regrow and Rebuild.”
For every donation to the American Red Cross made at the Sunman Elementary, students will give donors a packet of flower seeds to plant.
“The students are learning how to organize a fundraiser, count money, and most important to look outside their self and help others in need,” Greenwood said.
The service project has already collected over $100 in donations as of Monday.
All folks have to do is stop in the school and donate to the Red Cross by Friday, March 16.
The seeds being handed out were donated from Sunman IGA, said Greenwood.
