The highway is closed both south and west of Versailles on Wednesday morning.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - At least one person is reportedly injured after a house fire in Ripley County.
The fire broke out around 5:20 a.m. in Rexville, in the area of U.S. 421 and West County Road 800 South.
The victim’s name and condition are not known.
Firefighters remain on the scene, so U.S. 421 is closed at this time.
Ripley County authorities are simultaneously dealing with a crash on U.S. 50 just west of "Y" in Versailles involving a semi truck. The highway may also be closed there as a medical helicopter is responding to the scene.
