(Hamilton County, Ind.) - A resurfacing project on state Route 128 in Hamilton County is set to begin, with crews mobilizing next week to start site work.

Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be paving approximately 5.6 miles of S.R. 128, between U.S. Route 50 at Cleves and Harrison Avenue, north of I-74. Construction also includes improvements to curb ramps and updating the guardrail.

Operations are scheduled to begin Thursday, May 14, and lane closures will be in effect daily at various times, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and/or from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. the following day.

Traffic will be maintained in a minimum of one lane with flaggers and other traffic control devices during hours of operation.

Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $2.75 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in early November.
