(Switzerland County, Ind.) – Barricades and road closed signs have been removed from State Road 129 in Switzerland County.
State Road 129 reopened this week following the completion of an $11 million pavement reconstruction project between Vevay and Pleasant.
Milestone Contractors, L.P. completed the work which included milling, tilling, adding stabilizer and resurfacing the road. The project also included curb ramp removal and replacement in Moorefield.
“We’d like to thank INDOT and Milestone Contracting for a job well done,” said Sheriff Brian Morton. “The road is very nice and a 100 percent improvement from its previous condition.”
Sheriff Morton reminds motorists that the speed limit is still posted 50 MPH and 35 MPH in Moorefield.
