Eric Lows has served as superintendent the past six school years.

(Aurora, Ind.) – South Dearborn Community School Corporation is on the search for a new superintendent.
The school corporation received a letter of resignation on Tuesday from current superintendent Eric Lows.
According to school board president Steve Hamlett, the letter states that Mr. Lows intends to continue serving as corporation superintendent until the end of the current school year, June 30, 2024.
His resignation was accepted by the school board by a majority vote.
Lows has served the South Dearborn school district for 25-plus years, including the last six school years as superintendent.
“Mr. Lows led the district through some very trying times throughout his tenure and there is no doubt that Mr. Lows has set this district up for continued success in the future,” said Hamlett.
Hamlett added that the school board is committed to finding the best candidate to support South Dearborn’s vision of being success driven through growth, excellence, and achievement.
The board will begin a search for a new superintendent for the 2024-25 school year in the first quarter of 2024.
