According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, scattered showers and storms are expected through the day today. Some locally heavy rain and isolated flooding is the primary threat, along with possible gusty winds.
Several rounds of showers and storms are expected Thursday through Sunday.
These repeated episodes of heavy rain may lead to instances of flash flooding.
