By Travis Thayer (Aurora, Ind.) - Students at South Dearborn High School are using the power of social media to help a local organization promote Teen Dating Violence Awareness. Members of South Dearborn High School Student Government - Safe Passage Committee recently created a public service announcement (PSA) to display a form of dating violence that raises awareness for Teen Dating Violence Awareness month. Dating violence is defined as controlling, abusive and aggressive behavior in a romantic relationship. It can include verbal, emotional, physical, or sexual abuse. Students who participated in producing the video include: Alyssa Baker, Dylan Beach, Ashlee Fortner, A.J. Fox, Haley Greive, Emma Hobbs, Ashton Hoog, Taylor Ingle, Kerra Manor, Leslie Mathes, Oliver Moisio, Holly Roberts, Tori Thomas and Drew Weissmann. As part of Teen Dating Violence Awareness month, Safe Passage will host its third annual Winter Rose dance on Thursday, Feb. 24 at RomWeber Marketplace in Batesville. The dance costs $3, and is open to all high school students. RELATED STORIES: Safe Passage To Host Teen Dating Violence Awareness Dance Feb. 21
