(Dover, Ind.) - A planned project on State Road 1 has been postponed to the fall.

INDOT contractor Geostabilization International (GSI) was previously scheduled to close State Road 1 just south of Cook Road on March 23 to perform slide correction work between Dover and Guilford.

According to the Dearborn County Highway Department, the creek has risen which has GSI concerned. There is a closure in construction this summer for pipe replacements around Dover. Therefore, the slide repair closure will now need to be after it is reopened.

The aim is for the slide correction work to begin in August.
