RSRF Awards Over $200,000 In 13 New Grants

The next cycle of grant applications are due Wednesday, July 15 at 4:00 p.m.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) recently awarded a total of $214,395 in 13 new grants in the second quarter of 2020.

Grants recipients include:

  • $40,000 to the Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation toward the replacement of the classroom locks at the high school
  • $25,096 to the Children's Advocacy Center of Southeast Indiana for infrastructure upgrades and toward the start-up of a K-12 prevention program in three schools
  • $14,000 to the Golden Villa for updates to its current fire safety system
  • $36,552 to the Milan Community School Corporation for the replacement and resurfacing of wrestling mats and training equipment
  • $500 to First Steps Southeast/Thrive Alliance for children's books for clients
  • $10,860 to the Batesville Youth Baseball League for the purchase of a new mower
  • $5,000 to the Food and Growers Association toward the development of its programs
  • $40,000 to the Jac-Cen-Del Community School Corporation for the purchase of band instruments
  • $14,000 to the Ripley County 4-H Corporation toward the construction of a building to house exhibited livestock projects
  • $15,000 to Oldenburg Academy toward its flexible learning Makerspace
  • $1,200 to the Ripley County Humane Society for the purchase of a commercial washer and dryer
  • $5,000 to the South Dearborn Community School Corporation for the installation of vape detectors in high school bathrooms
  • $7,187 to the Town of Milan toward piers and conduits under the new sidewalks

The next cycle of grant applications are due Wednesday, July 15 at 4:00 p.m.

Applications must be submitted through this email. Hard copies are no longer accepted.
