Rivertown Classic Pairings Revealed; Hear All 8 Games On Eagle 99.3

By Mike Perleberg (Aurora, Ind.) - In the Rivertown Classic boys and girls basketball tournament, every game is a rivalry. The 15th Annual Rivertown Classic varsity games will be held at South Dearborn High School January 7-10, 2015. Boys and girls basketball coaches and administrators from Lawrenceburg, South Dearborn, Rising Sun, and Switzerland County gathered Tuesday for the random draw of the first round game pairings. In both tournaments, Rising Sun and South Dearborn will meet up in Game 1. Switzerland County boys and girls will look to begin the defense of their 2014 Rivertown Classic titles against Lawrenceburg in Game 2. The girls first round games will be held Wednesday, January 7 starting with Game 1 at 6:00 p.m. The boys will begin play on Thursday at 6:00. The winner of each first round game will advance to the girls and boys championship games to be played on Saturday, January 10. The girls title game will be played at 6:00 followed by the boys championship match up. The teams that lose in the first round will meet in the boys and girls consolation games to be played Friday, January 9. The popular cheerleading competition will be held between the consolation games. As has been a proud tradition since the Rivertown Classic began in 2000, all eight games - boys and girls - will be broadcast live on Eagle 99.3 and at www.eaglecountryonline.com.
