A retirement celebration for Tammy Cunningham will be held on March 12.

(Aurora, Ind.) - After 46 years of service at SIEOC and serving as the Executive Director for the past 20 years, Tammy Cunningham has announced her retirement.
Cunningham has dedicated her life to community action through her work at SIEOC. During her tenure at SIEOC, Cunningham has led the agency with integrity and dedication to service, ensuring that the agency remains committed to its’ mission of improving the condition in which people live, learn and work.
She has worked diligently to secure various funding resources which allow SIEOC the opportunity to provide quality services to our communities. Under Tammy’s leadership, SIEOC has been adaptable to the needs of SIEOC employees, clients, shareholders, and the communities the agency serves.
On January 21, the SIEOC Board of Directors voted to hire Colleen Lay as SIEOC’s new Executive Director effective March 13. Lay and Cunningham will co-lead through March 12.
Lay has 31 years of service with SIEOC, serving as the CFO for the past 14 years. She has been actively involved in program administration and agency management and has established relationships with SIEOC Program Managers and community shareholders which will allow for a smooth transition of leadership.
Tammy stated that “Colleen and I have worked closely together over the past 31 years, and I am excited to see her lead SIEOC to even greater heights in serving our communities”.
Cunningham's last day with the agency will be on March 12. SIEOC will be hosting an open house that day from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the main office located at 110 Importing Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001.
