Twelve organizations received funding.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) awarded a total of $255,900 in new grants in the fourth quarter of 2025.
These grants included:
- City of Aurora, $30,000 for Aurora Little League field improvements;
- City of Batesville, $10,000 for Batesville Skatepark improvements;
- Batesville Memorial Public Library, $10,000 for signage;
- Heart House, $35,000 for emergency walk-in cooler and freezer;
- Hillforest, $1,400 for kitchen remodeling;
- Ohio County Rescue Services, $20,000 for portable radio upgrades;
- Ripley County Government, $40,000 for courthouse clock repair;
- Rising Sun Municipal Utilities, $20,000 for smart electric meters;
- Rising Sun Ohio County Community Schools, $35,000 for refrigerators and freezers;
- Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Department, $30,000 for SCBA units;
- Southeastern Indiana YMCA, $10,000 for summer camp relocation; and,
- Versailles Volunteer Fire Department, $14,500 for firetruck lighting.
Applications for the first grant cycle of 2026 must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Applicants are advised to review the grant guidelines and criteria carefully before submitting an application. Detailed information about the grants is available on the Foundation’s

The Rising Sun Regional Foundation serves Ohio County, Ripley County, and the cities of Aurora and Batesville. Established in 1994, the Foundation is funded by the Rising Star Casino & Resort, which is owned by Full House Resorts, Inc. The casino makes monthly contributions to the
Foundation based on a percentage of its Adjusted Gross Revenue. To date, the Foundation has received over $46 million in casino funds, with at least 75 percent of that amount granted back to the community.
