(Milan, Ind.) - The Milan Indians are two wins away from playing for a state championship.
On Tuesday night, Milan defeated Knightstown by a score of 3-0 to capture a Class A Regional Championship.
Senior Kynadee Bode Knightstown tossed a no-hitter. At the plate, the Indians scored two in the 3rd inning and added an insurance run in the 6th.
Next up is a semi-state matchup with #5 West Washington. The game will be played on Saturday at Brown County at approximately 1:00 p.m. The winner will play #1 Barr-Reeve or #2 Indianapolis Lutheran in the semi-state championship.
Milan is 30-4 on the season and ranked #3 in Class A, according to the Softball Coaches Association of Indiana.
