(West Harrison, Ind.) - On June 3 at approximately 8:30 pm, Troopers from the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post and other first responders responded to an aircraft crash at the Tri-State Soccer Complex along State Street near West Harrison.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel located a 38-year-old Ohio man with life threatening injuries due being involved in a crash involving the paramotor (powered parachute) he was operating.
The investigation, which includes a video taken by a witness, indicated that the pilot of the aircraft lost control of the paramotor and struck the ground and wires, causing serious injuries. There were no other occupants of the aircraft.
He was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment of serious/possible life-threatening injuries.
The investigation by Troopers with the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post is ongoing.
