The Ripley County Community Foundation is thrilled to welcome two new interns, Abe Streator and Frank Moorman. The Ripley County Community Foundation’s High School Internship Program provides local students with a unique work experience in which students can develop and hone skills that will transition into any post-secondary career path. “The Ripley County Community Foundation is committed to supporting local schools in their efforts to provide exciting and innovative opportunities that make learning fun. Our internship program for high school students aligns with those efforts,” stated Amy Streator, Executive Director of the Ripley County Community Foundation. Streator further stated that “we are very thankful to have these gentlemen as interns this year and look forward to involving them in key aspects of our mission, from serving on grant committees, to project management.”

Frank is a member of the Oldenburg Academy class of 2022 and has his sights set on obtaining a degree in exercise science after high school. Frank currently is an involved member of the National Honor Society and is a student athlete playing basketball and baseball. When Frank has free time, he loves spending time with his friends and family along with going to the gym.

Abe is a senior at Oldenburg Academy and plans on attending college, but is unsure of what he will study. Abe is involved with the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Ripley Youth Outreach. Abe enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, and playing sports.

Every senior at Oldenburg Academy, is required to participate in an internship program or to complete a capstone project in an effort to allow each student to learn more about a career they are interested in pursuing. Abe and Frank chose to intern with the Ripley County Community Foundation to help gain real-life work experience in a place that plays such a major role in bettering the community.
