(Versailles, Ind.) - Ripley County law enforcement is hoping ten numbers will go a long way in ridding the community of drugs.
The Ripley County Prosecutor’s Office has established a new drug tip hotline, 855-812-DRUG. Callers can anonymously send in their tips regarding local drug activity.
The tipline’s goal: create a streamlined resource for law enforcement agencies in the county.
“With all tips and information being filtered through the Prosecutor’s Office, our goal is to better connect county resources to combat the growing heroin and drug problem in Ripley County,” Prosecutor Ric Hertel said in a news release.
The number will be publicized through various media. Local school districts will also post the number to their websites.
Eventually, the tip line could be expanded to be a general tip line where citizens can phone in their concerns.
