A big ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the grand re-opening of Big Lots' remodeled store at the River Creek Village Shopping Center.

(Aurora, Ind.) - The grand opening and ribbon cutting event for the Big Lots store in Aurora is set for Friday, April 26.
This new Big Lots is a part of the broader company initiative which aligns with the Big Lots vision to become a new kind of retailer that invest directly into its community, according to an announcement from the chain of discount stores.
One of the ways they are doing so is by partnering with the YES home. The YES Home is a Dearborn County charity organization and residential group home that provides a nurturing and structured environment for abused, abandoned and neglected children.
In order to raise awareness for the organization, Big Lots will support them through its BIG Rewards program. Each time a shopper redeems their BIG rewards the company will donate $5 to the YES Home.
The Aurora store and all the new Big Lots stores will provide a less-cluttered, more comfortable and roomier experience for shoppers.
The first 50 customers and attendees at the ribbon-cutting event will receive a reusable Big Lots bag filled with treats.
