(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Just in time for pool season, the weather is going to heat up.

Saturday’s high temperature in the tri-state will be around 90 degrees. Luckily, public pools open this weekend.

Pools in Aurora Greendale, Rising Sun, Lawrenceburg, and Florence will open for the season on Saturday, May 25. Batesville’s pool will have its first day open on Sunday, May 26.

Meanwhile, Brookville will be without a public swimming pool once again this summer. A fundraising effort is hoping to raise $2 million to construct a new pool to replace the 60-year-old Heap Memorial Pool, which closed at the end of the 2016 season due to leaks and expensive repairs.

Just this month, Great Parks of Hamilton County announced that the Parky’s Pirate Cove wet playground at Miami Whitewater Forest would not reopen due to pricy repairs as well.
