Power Outage Affecting Residents in Versailles, Sunman

(Ripley County, Ind.) - Over 1,000 area residents are reportedly without power this afternoon. 

According to the Duke Energy Outage Map, 1,291 customers are being affected between Napoleon and Versailles. Another 311 customers are being affected in the Sunman area.

Duke Energy is estimating power will be restored by 3:30 p.m. in the Versailles area and 6:30 p.m. in the Sunman area.  

In the meantime, Ripley County EMA is asking that residents affected not call 9-1-1 to report the outage. Instead, please contact your electric provider for an estimated restoration of power in your area.
