UPDATE: Power Restored In Rising Sun

A city-wide power outage began around 7:00 a.m.

According to Aurora Municipal Utilities, power has been restored throughout the City of Rising Sun as of 12:15 p.m.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Rising Sun homes and businesses have no electricity Friday morning.

A power outage began at around 7:00 a.m.

According to Rising Sun Municipal Utilities, the outage is affected customers throughout the city. The cause was cited as an issue with Duke Energy.

An exact estimation on when electric service may be restored was not given, but it could last a few hours, according to Rising Sun Municipal Utilities.
