(Florence, Ky.) – Three teens are lodged in the Boone County Jail after allegedly committing a robbery in Florence early Friday morning.
A lone male robber brandishing a handgun entered the Speedway gas station at 5992 Merchants Street at about 4:35 a.m.
Sheriff’s office spokesman Tom Scheben said the Speedway clerk reported being robbed by a white man wearing a black ski mask, red hoodie, and black pants displaying a black handgun.
Within two minutes Florence Police officers were on the scene indicating the man ran toward the Walmart Store. Deputies arrived and between the two departments they set up a perimeter and a canine search started. Shortly thereafter, three people were found and questioned.
Richard Grenke, 18 was arrested for arrested for Robbery 1st degree.
Grenke’s accomplices, Ashley Nunn, 18, and Aaron Hagedorn, 19, are charged with Complicity to Robbery 1st degree.
All three teens said they are homeless.
