Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries in South Park Avenue Accident in Batesville

The incident occurred Thursday night.

(Batesville, Ind.) – Batesville Police responded to a pickup truck versus pedestrian crash at the intersection of South Park Avenue and Western Avenue on Thursday around 9:05 p.m.

The initial investigation revealed that Michael Yorn, 41, of Batesville, was traveling north on South Park Avenue when an 11-year-old juvenile ran in front of Yorn’s vehicle and was struck.

The juvenile sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported to Margaret Mary Health for treatment.

Batesville Fire and Batesville EMS assisted at the scene.

No further information has been provided at this time.
