Osman Named Top 5 Finalist for 2023-2024 FCCLA Chapter Adviser of the Year

(Seattle, WA) - Brenda Osman, a dedicated and inspiring Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Chapter Adviser, has been honored as a Top 5 Finalist for the prestigious 2023-2024 FCCLA Chapter Adviser of the Year Award, sponsored by the US Army. She was chosen as a finalist from a pool of over 7,000 chapter advisers throughout the United States.

Brenda Osman has been an exceptional role model and leader, significantly impacting the lives of her students and the FCCLA community. She has been an FCCLA Chapter Adviser for the past 32 years. She currently is a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher and FCCLA Adviser at East Central High School, where she has led this chapter for the past 28 years. Her dedication to fostering personal growth, leadership, and career preparation has been evident through her innovative programs, tireless efforts, and unwavering commitment to her chapter.

The FCCLA Chapter Adviser of the Year Award recognizes advisers who exemplify outstanding service and leadership within their chapters, schools, and communities. Brenda's nomination and recognition as a Top 5 Finalist highlight her exceptional ability to guide and inspire students, preparing them for success in their personal and professional lives. Mrs. Osman has advised numerous chapters and district officers. She has guided over 42 state officers and four national officers during her tenure.

Brenda's achievements include an immense amount of members excelling in Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) Events at the state and national levels, which have not only enhanced the educational experience of her students but also contributed to the betterment of the community. Her innovative approach and commitment to excellence have set a high standard for FCCLA advisers nationwide.
