One Killed In State Road 156 Crash

The crash shut down State Road 156 in Switzerland County for several hours Monday morning.

(Switzerland County, Ind.) - The Switzerland County Sheriff's Office says it was a fatal accident that shut down State Road 156 on Monday morning. 

Deputies say two vehicles collided on State Road 156 near Tapps Ridge Road around 4:00 a.m.

It was determined that a delivery van driven by Kenneth P. Shepard of Vevay, had crossed the center line and collided with a tractor trailer driven by Todd A. Marshall of Richmond. 

Shepard died as a result of the crash, while Marshall was uninjured. 

The Switzerland County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Vevay Police, Indiana State Police, Switzerland County Emergency Rescue, Switzerland County Coroner and Jeff-Craig Fire Department.
