(Florence, Ky.) – One person is in custody after shots were fired at a Rally’s in Florence.

Adam Fields, 19, of Florence, was arrested Wednesday and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Trafficking in Marijuana, and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.

According to Florence Police, several witnesses stated that a male subject got out of the passenger seat of a silver Lexus that was parked in the Rally’s parking lot and started shooting at the vehicle.

The Lexus sped off through the parking lot and onto U.S. 42 as the subject continued shooting. A Boone County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop the Lexus, but the driver fled on I-75 into Cincinnati. The vehicle was later located abandoned near the intersection of Tremont Avenue and Beekman Street.

Back at Rally’s, Fields was detained and taken in for questioning.

Through the investigation, police were able to determine that Fields was the shooter.

Police say this is an isolated incident and the investigation is ongoing. No injuries were reported.
