The charges stem from an allegedly robbery in Hebron.

(Hebron, Ky.) - Boone County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Good Spirits Wine and Tobacco on Wednesday for a reported robbery.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that two while male suspects wearing masks entered the business. One suspect was armed with a black handgun and ordered the store employee to stand against a wall while the second suspect proceeded directly to the area where rolled coin change and additional U.S. currency were stored.
The suspects removed currency from the business and fled the scene.
Through investigation, to include tips from the community, two suspects were identified. William Joseph Abner Jr., 43, of Erlanger was identified as the armed suspect.
The second suspect was later identified as William Joseph Abner Sr., 64, of Erlanger. Abner Sr. is seen on surveillance footage kneeling and taking money from behind the store’s counter.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Abner Jr. The United States Marshals Service assisted in executing the warrant by locating Abner Jr. at his Erlanger home. There, detectives made contact with Abner Sr. Detectives then executed a search warrant where multiple items of evidence were retrieved including clothing, currency, and a firearm.
The evidence found established probable cause that Abner Sr. was involved and detectives then placed him under arrest.
William Joseph Abner Jr. and William Joseph Abner Sr. are respectively charged with one (1) count of Robbery in the First Degree (Class B Felony) and lodged at the Boone County Jail. Both are held on $50,000 cash bond
