(Milan, Ind.) – Beautiful, new murals have been completed at Daren Baker Memorial Park in Milan.
The Ripley Youth Outreach Program has completed two new murals to add vibrant colors and life to the area.
One of the murals, which reads “Miracles Happen,” includes a field filled with flowers, the State Champs Water Tower, and 1954 State Champs Basketball.
A second mural is complete with a butterfly and sports theme, reminding community members to “Be You”, “Be Kind”, “Be Fearless”, “Be Smart”.
The mural project was administered through the Ripley County Community Foundation thanks to an Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority My Community, My Vision Grant.
Also helping make the project possible is the Milan Town Board, Town of Milan, Milan Lions Club, Baylor Foundation, Rising Sun Regional Foundation, Indiana Destination Development Corporation, and Patronicity.
