(Harrison, Oh.) - A few new businesses are about to sprout in Harrison.
Triumph Energy is planning to construct a 200,000 square foot industrial building on Progress Way, according to City of Harrison director of economic development, building and zoning Shannon Hamons. Triumph Energy, which owns and operates a number of gas stations across southwestern Ohio, owns the property.
Once constructed, the building could have multiple tenants. It may create a boon for the local economy by potentially housing several hundred employees, depending on the tenants.
No rezoning or variances are needed for construction to start, Hamons says. Triumph will contract with a builder to complete the project.
That’s not the only new project planned along New Haven Road. Nearby on Progress Way near Cronin Kia, Trilogy Health Services LLC is planning to build an 83,000 square foot nursing home on a 7.9 acre parcel. It will have 119 beds for independent living, high-need, and memory care, Hamons says. Construction will be managed by Maumee, Ohio-based Mannik Smith Group.
The nursing home will bring about 85 new full-time and 40 part-time jobs.
Even more new construction is already occurring further east on New Haven Road. United Dairy Farmers is constructing a new gas station and convenience store at the northwest corner of New Haven and Caroline Trace roads expected to open later this year.
