The RCCF has launched the Batesville Catholic Educators Fund.

(Batesville, Ind.) - The Ripley County Community Foundation is honored to announce the establishment of the Batesville Catholic School Educators Fund. This endowment fund is designed to empower local teachers and ensure quality private educational opportunities flourish within Ripley County.

Why the Endowment was Established

This fund was established by friends of St. Louis Catholic School as a token of appreciation for the school’s decades long commitment to the community. One donor noted, “Teachers and staff are the heart of our school, and it requires a truly special individual to dedicate their career to a parochial school, answering a call that often demands significant personal sacrifice. Those devoted professionals pour their energy into crafting lessons that build a strong academic foundation while nurturing a deep moral compass within students. They shape the minds and hearts of the next generation, which invites support and recognition from the community they serve.”

It is hoped that by establishing this fund at the Community Foundation, others will be inspired to make a gift or leave a bequest for the future of the community - setting an enviable standard for other communities.

Why Supporting Multiple Academic Options Matters

Communities thrive when residents have access to diverse educational opportunities. Supporting both public and private academic institutions in Ripley County ensures that families can choose the learning environment that best meets their values and needs. This diversity fosters a culture of lifelong learning, which enhances the local economy and civic life.

“Education is at the heart of our strategic plan,” stated Amy Streator, Executive Director of the Ripley County Community Foundation. “The Batesville Catholic School Educators Fund is a powerful example of how philanthropy can align with our mission to promote lifelong learning and community vitality.”
