(Batesville, Ind.) - Jonathon Maple, Executive Director of the Margaret Mary Health Foundation, has been named a 2026 40 Under 40 honoree by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP).
The national award recognizes 40 emerging leaders under the age of 40 who are making significant contributions to healthcare philanthropy through leadership, innovation and community impact.
Maple was recognized during AHP’s annual international conference, held October 7-9 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Since taking on the role of Executive Director, Maple has led a period of significant growth for the Foundation. Under his leadership, the Foundation’s donor base has increased by 60 percent and annual fundraising has grown by 51 percent.
Among Maple’s most notable accomplishments is his role in leading the Foundation’s fundraising campaign for MMH’s new hospital, which opened in August 2026. The campaign raised more than $10.7 million, exceeding its original fundraising goal more than a year ahead of schedule.
Beyond the hospital campaign, Maple has helped expand the Foundation’s impact through initiatives supporting hospice care, cancer services, mental health awareness and community safety. These efforts include a collaborative project to equip law enforcement vehicles across two counties with life-saving automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
“Jonathon is incredibly deserving of this recognition, which reflects his exceptional leadership and dedication to our community,” said Sheri Brougher, MMH Assistant Vice President of Strategy and Communications. “Through his work, he is strengthening local healthcare today while helping lay the foundation for future generations. I am proud to work alongside him and grateful for the passion he brings to our organization and the people we serve.”
Maple credits the generosity of the community and the relationships built with donors for the Foundation’s continued success.
“Healthcare philanthropy gives me the opportunity to bring people together around something bigger than themselves,” said Maple. “When people feel connected to a vision and see the impact of their generosity, they don’t just give; they invest. I’m fortunate to work with an incredible community that believes in the importance of local healthcare and is willing to support it.”
