The wreck happened Tuesday morning near Batesville.

(Brookville, Ind.) – A couple vehicles collided as one driver attempted to pass a bicyclist on a Franklin County road on Tuesday, August 21.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were called to investigate a two-vehicle accident with injuries on Morris Road, near Five Point Road, at around 6:20 a.m.
Timothy G. Lloyd, 51, of Brookville, was operating a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer northbound on Morris Road. As Lloyd attempted to pass a bicyclist, his vehicle collided with a southbound 2007 Honda Civic being driven by Jeremy T. McKittrick, 18, of Milan.
The collision caused Lloyd’s SUV to go off of the east side of the roadway and down an embankment. McKittrick’s car went off of the west side of the roadway and over an embankment.
Lloyd was transported by Batesville EMS to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.
McKittrick was treated at the scene.
Batesville Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
