A Terre Haute, Indiana man is facing charges in Dearborn County for sending nude photos to a 13-year-old girl on Snapchat.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - A Terre Haute man is facing charges after a 13-year-old girl’s mom found inappropriate messages on her daughter’s cell phone.
The Dearborn County mother notified Indiana State Police in April of the messages and images sent between her teen daughter and 21-year-old Zachary M. Auler, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Dearborn County Circuit Court.
Indiana State Police from the Putnamville Post questioned Auler, who allegedly admitted to sending nude pictures of himself to underage females through Snapchat. Auler allegedly told police he knew that the girl was only 13. Investigators obtained a warrant for Auler’s cell phone.
The teen girl told police she had sent Auler photos of herself in her underwear using the same social media app.
Auler was formally charged Thursday, June 13 in Dearborn County with Child Solicitation (level 5 felony). There is an active warrant for his arrest.
