(Batesville, Ind.) - Francis Aloysius Hartman is the first baby born at the new Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville.

Francis was born on Sunday, August 9 to proud parents Brooklynn and Justin, of Batesville, who both serve as teachers locally.

Delivered via C-section by Dr. Emily Housley and Dr. Kelley Fitzpatrick, Francis weighed 10 lbs. 7 oz. and measured 21.5 inches long.

With their due date falling so close to the opening of our new hospital, the Hartmans knew there was a chance their little one would be among the first babies delivered here.

“Everyone we encountered was top-notch. We felt confident delivering at the new hospital because we knew the same amazing team would be there to care for us,” shared Brooklynn and Justin.
