(Milan, Ind.) - Milan High School annually hosts Best Effort Day for students that have worked hard throughout the year.
In order to participate, students must have zero unexcused absences and no failing grades.
At 8:30 a.m., students were called out of class to meet at Milan Park to divide in groups to go work on various activities. Various students participated in Best Effort Day this year and many community members contributed to leading the students to work.
Students contributed to painting bleachers for the park softball and soccer fields, picking up trash, and sticks. Students also worked together to complete many community service projects and clean up that has been needed.
The event ended with students begin fed pizza before they were allowed to dismiss early.
