(Milan, Ind.) - Milan Volunteer Fire Department was called to the 1000 block of North State Road 101 on Tuesday.
Upon arrival, crews found a communication wire had been hit by an oversize load and caused a pole to be pulled up.
Southeastern REMC assisted at the scene and helped get the line out of the roadway.
"Now, before anybody starts bashing the trucking company it must be noted that the driver was following a pre-determined route assigned to him by officials up in Indy. The driver and his escort stopped the load in the first available safe spot they could find and waited for responders to arrive and fully corporate with the investigation," reads a statement from Milan Volunteer Fire Department.
