The issue is in regard to a social media post about the legion's annual raffle.
(Milan, Ind.) - The Milan American Legion Post 235 is advising community members of a scam alert.
The veterans' group stated this week that "some pathetic scam artists" are commenting on a post about their annual raffle.
The Milan American Legion wants to remind community members that they do not send raffle tickets electronically nor do they ask for electronic payments.
The only way to purchase tickets is by stopping in the legion or directly from an SAL member.
"Thank you for your continued support. It is with your support we're able to support local veterans and our community," reads a statement from the Milan American Legion Post 235.
