(Aurora, Ind.) - A man who operated a meth lab in his Aurora home is going to prison for 12 years.
Anthony Rigacci, 35, was arrested in May 2012 when police discovered a meth manufacturing operation in his home on Franklin Street.
Rigacci recently reached a plea agreement with prosecutors which had him plead guilty to a charge of Dealing in (Manufacturing) Methamphetamine (Class B felony). Remaining counts of Possession of Methamphetamine (Class D felony) and Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Class D felony) were dismissed.
He was sentenced by Dearborn Circuit Court Judge James D. Humphrey Wednesday. Humphrey gave Rigacci a 20 year sentence: 12 years in prison and 8 years after that on probation. Rigacci was awarded 648 days credit for time served in jail since his arrest.
Along with other fines and court fees, Rigacci was also ordered to pay a $1,000 drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction, and correction fee.
