"Mega Tree" Highlights New Christmas Light Attraction

Light up your Christmas with a trip to the Boone County Fairgrounds.

(Burlington, Ky.) - A new attraction will light up the Boone County Fairgrounds this coming Christmas season.

The new holiday light attraction will allow visitors to drive through the fairgrounds and observe a series of displays synchronized to music. It will be called Light up the Fair.

Crews have already been working for weeks to get the lights set up and working. It includes a 50-foot tall “mega tree” consisting of 28,800 lights.

Light up the Fair will open November 9 and run through January 5. Gates will open daily at 5:30 p.m. and the show will run until 10:00 p.m. during the week and until 11:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Cost is $6 per person, or up to $25 per vehicle with five to eight occupants.
