Maxwell To Build New Wood-Mizer Facility In Batesville

Photo provided. (Greendale, Ind.) - Maxwell Construction Company of Greendale, Indiana has been selected as the contractor to build the new Wood-Mizer facility in Batesville. A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday at the site for the project, located off Lammers Pike on Commerce Drive in the Batesville Commerce Park and has frontage on I-74. The project architect is American Structurepoint of Indianapolis, IN. The project to be constructed is a 77,479 square foot facility, and consists of 8,359 square feet of office space and 69,120 square feet of manufacturing space; truck dock facilities and parking for 127 cars. The site is also being designed to accommodate future expansions. The project is expected to start by June of this year, with completion in December, 2015. Wood-Mizer, founded in 1982 and headquartered in Indianapolis, IN., is the world’s largest manufacturer of portable bandsaw mills with sales of over 60,000 units worldwide. Wood-Mizer also makes and sells industrial mills, blades, material handling equipment, edgers, resaws and kilns. The company has multiple locations to serve customers in the US and Canada, and its European customers are served by the Europe headquarters in Kolo, Poland.
