Man Hospitalized After Jumping from I-74 Overpass

A portion of I-74 had to be closed down due to the incident.

(Greensburg, Ind.) - Greensburg Police responded to Interstate 74 near mile marker 132 on Wednesday afternoon for a report of an injured male. 

According to a news release from the City of Greensburg, witnesses told Decatur County Communications that the male had jumped off the I-74 overpass. 

The injured male was airlifted from the scene to a trauma facility in Indianapolis. His name and status were not disclosed. 

Interstate 74 was closed for a period of time but has since re-opened. 

No further information has been provided at this time.
