Parker Hahn pitched for the win, allowing only 7 hits, one earned run, 3 walks and 8 Ks. Junior Tiger Eli Helton was 2-for-3 with 4 RBI and a run scored. Rising Sun 17, Shawe Memorial 1 – Jacob Bovard pitched 5.0 innings with 2 hits, 1 walk, and 7 strikeouts. Stephen Jiminez finished up the final inning with 2 hits and 2 Ks. Matt Martini was 3-for-4 with 4 RBI. Derrick Eldridge was 3-for-5 with a double, 3 RBI, and 3 runs scored. Jac-Cen-Del 4, Milan 3 – JCD’s Matthew Drockelman held Milan to 3 unearned runs with 5 hits, 2 walks, and 6 strikeouts in 7.0 innings. Reuben Benham and Drockelman each had an RBI for JCD. South Ripley 2, Southwestern 0 – Avery Halcomb started and finished the game for South Ripley, going all 7.0 innings while allowing only 2 hits, a walk, and 3 strikeouts. Derek Turner had both South Ripley RBIs. South Ripley improved to 9-0 at the top of the ORVC.   SOFTBALL East Central 9, Rushville 2 Rising Sun 10, Shawe Memorial 0 – Rising Sun’s Sidney Pitts dominated on the mound. She had 8 Ks and allowed just 1 hit and 1 walk in 5.0 innings. Sydney Bostic led the Shiners’ offense with 3 RBI on 2 doubles. Chelsea Brown was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Rising Sun 15, Shawe Memorial 0 – Claire Poling pitched all 5.0 innings while limiting Shawe to 3 hits, no walks and striking out 6 batters. Poling, Chelsea Brown, and Baylie Hunter each recorded 3 RBI. Milan 2, Jac-Cen-Del 0 – Milan starter Taylor Amberger was masterful, allowing only 3 hits and 4 walks while striking out 6 over 7.0 shutout innings. JCD’s Morgen Carroll also pitched well, going 7.0 innings with 4 hits, no walks, one earned run, and 8 Ks. Alex Dixon had an RBI for Milan. Southwestern 13, South Ripley 0     SATURDAY, MAY 13   BASEBALL Lawrenceburg 18, South Dearborn 3 – South Dearborn’s 3 runs were rapped in by Ethan Getz, John Tedesco, and Kane Curry. Connersville 2, South Dearborn 1 – Tristan Rinehart batted in South Dearborn’s only run. SD starter Alex Smith pitch 4.2 innings with one earned run, 4 hits, and 6 Ks. Connersville 13, South Dearborn 4 – South Dearborn’s 4 RBIs came off the bats of Tristan Rinehart, Alex Smith, Adam Dixon, and Tyler Morehead. Batesville 13, Greensburg 12 – Batesville’s Jacob Christie starred going 4-for-4 with 5 RBI and a run scored. Teammate Zach Britton hit a home run as part of a day in which he had 1 RBI and 4 runs. Batesville 17, Jac-Cen-Del 8 – Trey Heidlage had a huge game for Batesville going 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, a triple, 6 RBI and 3 runs scored. Zach Britton had 2 RBI and 3 runs while going 2-for-3. Greensburg 6, Jac-Cen-Del 3 – Connor Toops, Ben Harlemert, and Matt Drockelman each had an RBI for Jac-Cen-Del. Milan 30, Shawe Memorial 5   SOFTBALL East Central 11, Batesville 1 – Batesville’s only run came off the bat of Gabi Garcia. Greenfield Central Invitational

Franklin County 4, Milan 2 – Marla Throckmorton’s three doubles produced all 4 runs (2 RBIs – 2 runs scored) for FC in a comeback win vs Milan in game one of the Greenfield-Central invite.  On the mound, Kamryn McCool fanned five, surrendering 2 earned on 5 hits, 0 walks, and 2 hit-batters. Alex Dixon and Taylor Amberger had Milan’s two runs batted in. Amberger also pitched well in the loss, allowing 10 hits and 4 earned runs over 7.0 innings.

Franklin County 2, Mt. Vernon 1 - Madison Brenner and Kamryn McCool drove in the lone FC runs with RBI singles. Autumn McDaniel also recorded a hit for the Cats. Kamryn McCool earned her second save of the season striking out 5 of the 6 batters faced.

Franklin County 7, Seymour 0 – Franklin County won the invitational championship game. Brenner’s lead off double was followed by three straight singles by Otto, McCool, and Throckmorton allowing the guest Cats to jump out to a 3-0 lead. McCool and the FC defense would hold the Seymour bats at bay, allowing just two base runners, both left at first base.

Rising Sun 14, Switzerland County 0 – The 6.0 inning game was dominated by the Rising Sun offense and starter Sydney Pitts. Pitts gave up just one hit with no walks and a strikeout. Sydney Bostic and Baylie Hunter each had 3 RBI for the Shiners. Jac-Cen-Del 7, Southwestern 0 – JCD junior pitcher Morgen Carroll earned the win by going all 7.0 innings allowing only 1 hit, no walks, and striking out an amazing 17 hitters. Junior Eagle Jodi Muckerheide went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, and 3 RBI to lead the JCD offense.
